Had a busy day yesterday - I went to the audition for NISA, which went fairly well (except that my scales were a bit rusty) and then I did some page-turning and lighting for a concert that my mum was singing in (with The Hertfordshire Chorus).
With Christmas only a matter of days away it's probably time I did some Christmas shopping, which I have so far neglected. Now that the audition is over I feel that I really have finished the term, as now I have no more commitments until the 6th January, when I go back to school. (I still have the maths though!)
Thursday 17 December 1998
The interview session is over (I only had one interview in all that time!), and I am feeling very nervous about the results which I should get in about a week or so. I think I did fairly well - certainly no major mess-ups.
I could say it's all over now, except that I've got an audition on Sunday, for the National ISIS Strings Academy - and I've got to revise for four maths modules in January. On Saturday I'm going busking, so if you're in South Kensington subway and you see two brilliant violinists, one of them is me.

As the term wound down this week I realised how utterly exhausted I have become from the activities, which seem to be even more than usual. Monday saw a large proportion of the Chapel Choir, including me, carol singing round Highgate village; Wednesday evening was a carol service followed by a 6th form choir dinner; Thursday was the house supper, and today was yet another service.
However, it is not time to relax yet; I have an interview session at Magdalen College, Oxford on Sunday, lasting until Wednesday of next week!
The CDs finally arrived, and have mostly been distributed. I also transferred the Guys and Dolls video onto VHS, with some clever playback zoom effects.
I learned yesterday that I got a Silver award for the maths challenge (my mark was 86 - 1 mark below the Gold boundary!)

Guys and Dolls was a resounding success. Sold out for all three nights, it just got better and better. I managed to get a video recording of it using Mike's JVC digital camera. Which should be fairly good when it's been edited a bit. On a similar note, CDs of the concert on 12th November are nearly ready (recorded with Binaural sound).
