Well, now I've been here for four weeks. And my bike has only just been nicked. While I lent it to someone. That completely sucks. Description (god no-one reads this anyway): Dark green Saracen Rufftrak. Someone find it for me. Please??

I can't believe I've been here for nearly two weeks! The time so gone so fast. I have been very busy, as you might expect; I got into the OU Philharmonia, who are doing Mahler 5 and VW's Fantasia on a theme by Tallis. I have also auditioned for a few choirs, unsuccessfully so far. I have also (perhaps foolishly) got into rowing, which meant that I had to get up at 5.30 this morning! I might be getting into some sound/lighting for Cuppers, a university fresher's drama competition.

The Physics is okay, I have been set a few nasty maths questions but the course overall is good, and mostly comprehendable! I have just about surfaced from the mass of administrative paperwork, having got my self some files etc.

Oh, and one more thing. Dave Higgins (computer rep. at Magdalen) asked me to mention his name here. So I have. Go to his web site if you want.

Now I am wired to the Uni. ethernet, so 'net access can be blisteringly fast now. I have got a copy of this site here, so if you are accessing this site from Netcom and you are in a uk academic domain you will probably want to use that instead. I also have a local web server up at http://callisto.magd.ox.ac.uk, which doesn't have much on it at the moment (the site varies depending on whether I'm in Windows or Linux)

Just a quick one - I'm successfully at University now, but I don't have Ethernet in my room just yet, so using WinNT Workstation in Magdalen computer room. A decent email address is forthcoming; until then, just use the Netcom address.
