We'll, I've successfully set up the SparcStation with Redhat 5.2 (I would have played a bit with SunOS that was on it but didn't have a logon and couldn't be bothered trying to recover one. However it works beautifully (albeit rather slowly) and has an amazingly high contrast black/white console mode (130x50
characters or thereabouts) which makes it perfect for text editing, especiallyweb pages. The spec is on my computing pages, of course.
Rather less good news is that I found out from buy.com today that the Palm Vx will be another two weeks before they ship it :(
